itag Welcome Global Healthcare Innovators Legato

Legato Health Technologies, the multinational health and technology company whose mission is to transform healthcare for humanity, has become the latest technology innovator to join itag (Innovation Technology AtlanTec Gateway).

Legato’s Global R&D Hub is in Limerick, next to the University of Limerick, where the company is hiring 120 experts in artificial intelligence (AI). On a global level, Legato is working to create and develop solutions that promote high value and access to healthcare. The key focus in Legato’s Global R&D Hub in Ireland is to build models for health assurance.

itag is the non-profit tech association whose vision is to lead and support a thriving technology community of innovators and influencers along the AtlanTec Gateway. The announcement that Legato is to join adds to itag’s 100+ member companies who employ in excess of 10,000 people.

AI is also a key pillar of activity for itag. They currently run a Masters in AI in NUI Galway, along with a specially designed AI for Managers programme. They also maintain a significant AI forum involving their member companies which includes regular meetings and training events facilitated through itag Skillnet, as well as organising an annual conference on the topic of AI.

Speaking about the announcement, Caroline Cawley, CEO of itag said, “We are honoured to welcome Legato to the itag family.
